Lance Camarena was the Director of Training & Development for a five-star cruise line that regularly visited more than 300 ports around the world each year. Already responsible for the cruise line staff focus on delivering superior customer service to cruise guests, it was a natural direction to extend and customize these concepts to the Tour Guides that serviced cruise line guests. ¡But it didn’t stop there! Lance found Tour Guides were some of his best students, hungry and waiting for more ideas on how they could improve their tour programs. So Lance perched himself in the back of the tour bus, well, the back of many busses and invited tour guests to share with him what they wanted to see in a world-class tour. The initial comments collected formed the core of training programs that were classroom delivered to some of the world’s best Tour Guides.

Recognizing that it might take awhile to get every Tour Guide in the classroom, Lance has taken the best of his presentations and created a book specifically for the world’s best Tour Guides.
